“How much will my stall cost?” is the first question every exhibitor asks. The honest answer is: it depends. Here are the factors that actually move the number.
1. Stall size and open sides
Bigger area means more material and labour. An island stall open on all four sides needs finishing on every face, which costs more than an inline stall with one open side.
2. Design complexity
Curves, double-height walls, hanging structures and custom shapes take more time in the workshop than straight panels.
3. Materials and finishes
Plywood with laminate, painted MDF, acrylic, metal, fabric and glass all have different costs. Premium finishes such as high-gloss paint or backlit fabric raise the budget but also raise perception.
4. Double-decker structures
A second level adds meeting space but requires structural drawings, approvals and stronger materials. It is one of the biggest cost jumps.
5. Lighting and AV
Spotlights, LED strips, backlit graphics, LED walls and screens can form a large share of the budget.
6. Graphics
The number, size and print type of graphics matter. Large-format fabric prints and vinyl each have different pricing.
7. Venue and organiser charges
Some costs sit outside the fabricator’s quote: power connection, rigging points, contractor registration and approvals. Always ask what is included.
8. Timeline
Rush orders mean overtime and express logistics. Planning early is the simplest way to save money.
How to control your budget
- Share your budget range openly at the brief stage, so the design is realistic from the start.
- Prioritise one strong focal point instead of spreading money everywhere.
- Consider reusable elements if you exhibit often.
We prepare itemised quotes so you can see exactly where your money goes and decide what to keep or cut.
